Paradise Reclaimed

In this work, written by Laxness in the 1950s, a farmer named Steinar becomes enamored of Mormonism, leaves his ancestral farm in Iceland, and travels to Salt Lake City, where he embraces the religion (and the polygamy that goes with it).
